Description
The Sport Management Program is based on a theory-to-practice model of learning which prepares students through course work, fieldwork, and internships to be successful professionals in a wide range of career choices. SUNY Cortland offers the oldest and largest sport management major at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the SUNY system of colleges and universities. The program is consistently ranked among the nation's best.
Professional preparation is enhanced by concentrations and minors that allow specialization. Additionally, students are engaged in a minimum of 40 hours of field experience prior to their required senior internship.
The program focuses on trends such as esports, social media, analytics, sport sales and marketing, and international sport. Elective credit hours may also be used to enroll in a study abroad program.
Special Features
Study abroad in many countries including Australia, Cuba, England, Germany, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
