Degrees and Admission Requirements
Master of Arts in History with a concentration in either
- United States
- European
- Asian, Latin American, African, Middle Eastern history or
- in the Scholarship on the Teaching and Learning of History
The Master of Arts in history will benefit you if you are seeking a terminal M.A. or if you intend to go on for a Ph.D. in history at another institution. If you have an initial certificate or a provisional license in teaching secondary social studies, the M.A. in history will help you gain professional or permanent certification.
