ICC 523 - Integrating Technology in the Foreign Language Classroom

Provides a foundation for pre-service second language teachers to critically examine, carefully choose, and apply the tools from current and emerging technologies to add value to language teaching and learning. Prerequisite: Graduate status or consent of department. (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code C = offered at least once every two years

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate foundational knowledge and skills in technology for professional purposes.
  2. Apply the educational technology standards from the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and TESOL to activity and lesson design.
  3. Integrate pedagogical knowledge and skills with technology to enhance language teaching and learning.
  4. Differentiate instruction through the ethical and critical selection and application of educational technology tools to teaching and learning.
