MAT 455 - Mathematical Statistics An introduction to the theory of mathematical statistics, population and sampling distributions, point estimation, interval estimation and hypothesis testing. Prerequisite: MAT 450. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Perform standard statistical inference such as point estimation and hypothesis testing.
- Derive and assess point estimators and confidence regions.
- Determine appropriate procedures to use for statistical inference.
