ENG 436 - Medieval England: There and Back Again Examines defining moments in medieval English history and literature. Considers how these events were later translated and interpreted by historians, writers and thinkers in later centuries. Culminates in a two-week in-country experience in England. Prerequisite: Special permission. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Identify the major phases of English medieval history.
- Analyze select literary and nonliterary texts
- Evaluate the significance of "medievalism"
- Synthesize literary and historical texts with first-hand observation after an immersion experience in a medieval environment.
