FSA 535 - Alternative/Augmentative Communication and Assistive Technology for Students with Severe or Multiple Disabilities Introduction to evidence-based augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies and other assistive technologies for students with severe/multiple disabilities. Prepares course participants to become knowledgeable and contributing team members, along with special education service providers and family members, to asses and support the communication and other technology needs of a child who is non-verbal and/or has complex orthopedic, cognitive or multiple needs for support. (2 cr. hr.)
