CHE 278 - General Chemistry II Laboratory

General Chemistry II Laboratory is the second semester of a year-long sequence in the chemistry laboratory. Students will continue to learn basic laboratory techniques in the general chemistry area and be required to keep a professional lab notebook. Concepts from General Chemistry II lecture will be emphasized and reinforced. Prerequisites: CHE 227 and CHE 277; pre/corequisite: CHE 228. Fulfills: GE 2, GENS, when completed with CHE 228; LASR. (1 cr. hr.)

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Safely execute laboratory techniques and adapt them to new problems or situations.
  2. ​Apply mathematical and graphical analysis methods to solve experimental chemistry problems.
