GLY 498 - Research Investigation in Geology Independent original research by an individual student on a special topic under the direction of a faculty member. At the end of the semester, student must present the findings in an oral or written format. A prospectus for the work is required in advance of registration. May be taken up to four times for credit. Prerequisite: Consent of department. Grading: H, S, U grades are assigned. (1-3 cr. hr.) Frequency code B = offered at least once per year
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate professional behavior in a research setting.
- Reflect on their learning from a research experience.
- Explain research outcomes in a summary, abstract, poster or presentation.
