PED 313 - Leadership in Physical Education Investigates the importance of leadership in issues specifically involving physical education and school settings. Stresses the selection of appropriate leadership styles and the art of leadership in applying those styles for the purpose of service, advocacy, stabilization and change in physical education. Prerequisite: PED 201. Fulfills WI. (3 cr. hr.) Frequency code B = offered at least once per year
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Create a personal leadership philosophy.
- Develop a leadership position on an issue related to physical education or coaching.
- Apply verbal and nonverbal communication skills inherent to effective leadership.
