SPM 175 - Introduction to Sport Management

Explores the nature and range of careers in the sport industry with historical context. Includes the personal characteristics, professional practice, special skills, and qualifications necessary to position a student for a career in the sport industry. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

  1. Describe the types and characteristics of careers in the sport industry.
  2. Identify skills and competencies necessary for entry into the industry.
