PSY 342 - Psychology in Organizations

Psychological principles and methods applied to organizational problems. Prerequisites: PSY 101, three additional hours in psychology. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate skill in the application of psychology to the workplace and informal organizations.
  2. Explain methods for maximizing the quality of working relationships and work-life balance.
  3. Demonstrate foundational knowledge about human resource management, diversity, and managing change.
  4. Outline the role of organizational culture and organizational structure in shaping success.
