EXS 410 - Ethics in Sport

Examination of selected ethical and moral issues current in the conduct of American sport such as the ethics of competition, equality and excellence and the place of athletics in education. Prerequisite: CPN 101 or CPN 103. Fulfills: LASR; PRES; WI. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Identify, analyze, and evaluate arguments as they occur in their own or others' work; and develop well-reasoned arguments.
  2. Demonstrate an effective writing process, making informed decisions about their writing with input from their instructor.
  3. Apply philosophical knowledge content and skills to ethical problems facing Kinesiology as a field of study and profession.
