DNC 424 - Theatre Dance II

Continued exploration of dance as a form of dramatic expression. The synthesis and interconnection of dance, music and drama are emphasized. May be repeated for one additional credit hour. Prerequisite: DNC 423. (1 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate the ability to incorporate character, intention, text, and sub-text into performance of dance combinations.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge and familiarity of contemporary theatre choreographers.
  3. Demonstrate audition skills at a more advanced level.
  4. Demonstrate collaborative performance skills.
