Traditional, nontraditional features, feature interviews, background features, editorials, columns, reviews. Prerequisite: COM 203. Fulfills: LASR; WI. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Apply forms and strategies observed in both contemporary and classic examples of opinion and feature articles to their own writing.
  2. Use and analyze information sources to create various forms of feature and opinion stories.
  3. Generate and format opinion and feature stories for distribution on various platforms.
