ATS 217 - Color

Creative exploration of color. Color palette design strategies from basic to complex provide a framework for experimentation and development of individual aesthetic. Color design for a variety of media applications will be considered. (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code B = offered at least once per year

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate the process for creating compositions using color in two and three-dimensional art forms.
  2. Identify and implement the elements and principles of design used to create a composition through the use of color.
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of texture, light, and space as they apply to the use of color in a specific art form.
