PED 657 - Secondary Physical Education Field Experience Prepares teacher candidates in planning, teaching and evaluating strategies for secondary physical education. Includes supervised field experiences in secondary physical education, grades 6-12. Prerequisites: PED 656; current first aid and CPR/AED certification; cumulative 3.0 grade point average. S, U grades assigned. (1 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Apply common and specialized content and scientific and theoretical foundations for the delivery of an effective 6-12th grade physical education program.
- Identify how individuals differ in their approaches to learning and create appropriate instruction adapted to individual differences based on information from appropriate services and resources.
- Identify individual and group motivation and behavior by creating a safe (physical, emotional and psychological) learning environment that supports and encourages positive personal and social behaviors, active engagement in learning, intrinsic motivation and learner reflection.
