Introduction to constitutional structure, central political institutions and dynamics of political process of selected European nations with emphasis on contemporary period. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Identify major concepts, themes, and theoretical perspectives from the field of comparative European politics.
  2. Analyze European politics from a comparative perspective, applying basic principles of comparative research methodology.
  3. Contrast the distinctive histories, political institutions, economic systems, and cultures of European countries and regions.
