BIO 301 - Human Anatomy and Physiology I

Structure, function of human body; cells, tissues; skeletal, muscular, nervous systems. Prerequisite: BIO 110 or BIO 111/113, or BIO 201 or BIO 202. Fulfills: LASR. (4 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Identify the anatomical structures of the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems and explain the physiological functions of each structure. 
  2. Apply appropriate terminology to effectively communicate information related to anatomy and physiology.
  3. Demonstrate laboratory procedures used to examine anatomical structures and evaluate physiological functions of each organ system including interpretation of physiological data.
