ATR 512 - Clinical Assessment II

1. Perform a comprehensive examination of the upper extremity, head, neck, spine and thorax while integrating critical judgement, problem solving, clinical reasoning, and the best available evidence to formulate a clinical assessment and treatment plan.
2. Identify the necessary and appropriate diagnostic tests, and integrate the results into a clinical judgment.
3. Incorporate patient education and self-care programs to engage patients and their families and friends to participate in their care and recovery.
4. Assess and reassess a patient's status on an on-going basis while integrating appropriate outcome measures, and adjust care accordingly with consideration of patient goals.
5. Integrate the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) in describing a patient's status.
6. Integrate contemporary documentation techniques to communicate with patients, medical professionals, insurers, and other relevant stakeholders.
