Examination of scholarship on the teaching and learning of history. Open only to students in the M.A. and adolescence education: social studies (7-12) M.S.Ed. - history concentration programs. (3 cr. hr.) Frequency code B = offered at least once per year
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Evaluate the leading science-of-learning scholarship that informs pedagogical practices in history classrooms.
Compare the work of multiple scholars on the teaching and learning of history for areas of consensus and debate.
Reflect on and evaluate the scholarship of teaching and learning of history for their own practice.
