HLH 599 - Public Health Statistics

Application of statistical methods to public health and health education problems; in-depth review of significant types of public health data, including demographic, mortality, morbidity analysis. Not open to students with credit for HLH 299. (3 cr. hr.)

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Select the appropriate type and level of measurement for variables. 
  2. ​Describe distributional shape, location, and spread for variables. 
  3. Perform and interpret selected descriptive statistics. 
  4. Perform and interpret selected inferential statistics.
