EDU 675 - Philosophical Issues in Education

A study of issues in education in relation to broader philosophical conceptions of nature, knowledge, the individual and society. Topics include role of education for social structure, individual freedom and development, empowerment, social progress. Philosophers studied include Plato, Rousseau, Dewey, Freire. (3 cr. hr.)
