EDL 656 - Principles of Public School Finance The concepts, principles, regulations, laws, and roles and responsibilities required for managing and leading the multiple financial functions of the school district business office. (3 cr. hr.) Frequency code B = offered at least once per year
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Articulate the historical roots of federal and state of New York support of schools, including the complexity of New York's process of distribution of funds.
- Identify the key elements associated with fund accounting and cash management.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of supporting facilities in Building Aid and Capital Projects.
- Identify current challenges to local control and funding of schools.
