INT 200 - Leadership for Social Change

Introduction to the theories and practices of the Servant Leadership Model (SLM) and the Social Change Model (SCM) of Leadership. Focus on leadership models and activities that promote change in campus organizations and/or the college community. (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code B = offered at least once per year

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge for learning theories of leadership, including the Trait Theory, Behavior Theory, Situational Theory, Servant-Leadership Model and the Social Change Model (SCM).
  2. Students will be able to apply their knowledge of leadership theories to contemporary issue in the College community and student organizations.
  3. Students will demonstrate their understanding of the Servant-Leadership Model (SLM) and the Social Change Model (SCM) of leaders by the completion of a community-based project on leadership.
