SPM 236 - Introduction to Digital Video Streaming Course will expose, educate and develop the student's skills in the Streaming of Sporting Events. The student will be shown the parts and their uses on professional broadcast video cameras. They will take part in a sports video crew. In class, they will learn how to correctly set up, adjust, operate, and takedown video equipment. At the sporting event, the student will practice and improve their video techniques used in the media field today.
Prerequisite: CAP 100 or SPM 100 (1 cr. hr.) Frequency code A = offered every semester
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain the Sports Media Field as it pertains to the streaming of a sporting event.
- Operate current technology to video stream a sporting event.
- Analyze when and how to use video graphics.
- Demonstrate how to use a digital replay system.
- Discuss the operation of a video streaming.
