SPM 100 - Introduction to Computer Applications Computing applications in various academic disciplines; topics include operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, database, communications, the Internet, current topics and a brief introduction to computers and their impact on society. Sport management majors or permission of the department. Not open to those with credit for CAP 100. Also listed as CAP 100. (3 cr. hr.) Frequency code A = offered every semester
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain computer operating systems and applications.
- Discuss basic components of computer hardware.
- Use Microsoft office applications, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
- Describe how to use search tools to find information on the Internet and the Web.
