Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Identify and manipulate major themes from the canon of political theory.
  2. Relate contrasting themes in political theory to the historical contexts from which they emerged.
  3. Produce written and oral critiques of theoretical arguments focused on internal consistency and on correspondence with the observable world.
  4. Apply concepts from political theory to the political issues of the present.
