HIS 346 - Renaissance and Reformation

A critical examination of the history and historiography of European civilization from the Renaissance to 1648. Prerequisite: HIS 100, 101, 110 or 111. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Explain the historical significance of key themes, events, and people relevant to European history from the Renaissance to 1648.
  2. Interpret evidence to make claims about the past.
  3. Establish a primary source's historical context through sourcing techniques (including, for example, by identifying its author, date and place of production, form and intended audience).
