FRE 333 - Practicum: Teaching Intermediate French I

Participation as supervised teaching assistant in all activities of Intermediate French I; special responsibility for leading structured drills and conversation with small groups. Prerequisites: FRE 305 or above, consent of instructor. (2 cr. hr.)
Frequency code A = offered every semester

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate a clear knowledge of the grammar concepts covered in FRE 201.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of a variety of methods used to teach vocabulary, grammar, and culture at the intermediate I level.
  3. Speak to students in the target language in a structured way that facilitates student comprehension at this level.
  4. Organize group activities and manage classroom behaviors.
