FRE 316 - Introduction to French Literature II

From 1700 to modern times. Prerequisite: FRE 202 or above. Fulfills: GE 7; LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Recognize and arrange works of French literature according to appropriate literary movements.
  2. Describe the characteristics of literary movements in France from the 18th to the 20th century.
  3. Analyze works from these periods to compose essays showing how specific details in the works relate to major concepts that may be present.
