EXS 480 - Independent Research in Sport Studies

Culminating experience in which students conduct independent, supervised, qualitative research in sport studies. Prerequisite: EXS 479. (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code B = offered at least once per year

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Implement qualitative methods in the field as it pertains to their specific project of their choosing.
  2. Analyze how research questions emerge through the practice of conducting related literature searches.
  3. Design a 12-20-minute research presentation that would be acceptable for an academic meeting/conference setting.
  4. Construct a research experience that would be presentable in an open forum such as Transformations' Day.
