EXS 480 - Independent Research in Sport Studies Culminating experience in which students conduct independent, supervised, qualitative research in sport studies. Prerequisite: EXS 479. (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code B = offered at least once per year
Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Implement qualitative methods in the field as it pertains to their specific project of their choosing.
- Analyze how research questions emerge through the practice of conducting related literature searches.
- Design a 12-20-minute research presentation that would be acceptable for an academic meeting/conference setting.
- Construct a research experience that would be presentable in an open forum such as Transformations' Day.
