EXS 387 - Biomechanics

Analysis, evaluation and application of anatomical and mechanical factors influencing motor skill activities. Prerequisite: BIO 301 or 324. Basic algebra skills expected. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Define the primary concepts and parameters of kinematics/kinetics related to human movement.
  2. Identify the various phases of complex human movement.
  3. Solve problems using mathematical formulas to determine quantitative values associated with movement.
  4. Generate, graph, and solve vector-based problems related to movement of 2 dimensional objects.
