Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Review and critique the major approaches to ESL teaching.
2. Analyze and assess techniques for teaching all the skills (e.g., listening, speaking, reading, writing) as they relate to research findings and sound pedagogical practices.
3. Develop lesson plans focusing on specific skills but integrating others.
4. Critique their colleagues' and their own recorded mini-lessons (peer teaching).
5. Develop an integrated-skills lesson highlighting the knowledge acquired throughout the course.
