Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Analyze and interpret works of African American literature and culture.
- Demonstrate advanced close reading skills.
- Investigate foundational methods, histories, debates, and concepts in the analysis of African American literature.
- Perform research in African American literature.
