ATR 613 - Contemporary Topics in Athletic Training Current trends in the clinical practice of athletic training. (3 cr. hr.) Frequency code S = offered in spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Appraise contemporary athletic training practice concepts and how they apply to a variety of patient populations across the various practice settings of athletic training by utilizing evidence-based practice guidelines and trends to adhere to standards and best practice.
- Assess epidemiology of a variety of patient populations across the various practice settings of athletic training including utilizing evidence-based practice guidelines and trends to adhere to standards and best practice.
- Discuss biometrics and physiological monitoring systems and translate the data into effective preventive measures, clinical interventions, and performance enhancement.
- Demonstrate personal development in the following skills: oral and written communication, technology integration, critical thinking, and problem-solving as they relate to patient care and the practice of athletic training.
