SPM 615 - Topics in International Sport

Explores the nature, meaning and significance of sport and leisure on a global scale. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to identify current and persistent problems and issues in global sport, including differences in sport culture, governance, and development. The course will also enable students to conduct systematic analyses of these global sport issues and to develop practical recommendations to address them. (3 cr. hr.)

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Explain core concepts in international sport.
  2. Discuss and present informed and evidence-based viewpoints on successful international sport enterprise.
  3. Apply class topics to practical situations.
