REC 683 - Comprehensive Examination in Recreation and Leisure Studies Orientation to the graduate comprehensive examination process followed by administration of the exam in two parts: part one for graduate core content and part two for concentration area content. Exams are administered around week six and week thirteen of the semester. Only students who have completed at least 18 credit hours are eligible to enroll in this course. Prerequisite: REC 601. (1 cr. hr.) Frequency code A = offered every semester
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Develop an organized means of retrieving essential or "take away" knowledge from graduate coursework.
- Pass the comprehensive examination, demonstrating a recollection and synthesis of knowledge, understandings and abilities from graduate coursework.
