REC 546 - Legal Aspects of Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services

The study of contracts, civic liberties and rights, property law, tort liability, and managing and transferring risks in the context of parks, recreation and leisure services. (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code B = offered at least once per year

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Analyze case studies and apply legal foundations to determine elements of proof.
  2. Determine liability exposure in discrimination cases based on legal authority.
  3. Create and present a risk management strategy for an actual activity or event.
