Individual study in selected areas of history at the graduate level. Prerequisite: Consent of department. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Explain the historical significance of key themes, events, and people relevant to the history of the selected area of focus.
  2. Assess the persuasiveness of historians' claims about the past.
  3. Identify the implications of historiographical innovations and debates for the history of the selected area of focus.
