History and historiographical debates surrounding the American Revolution. Open only to students enrolled in M.A. in History, M.S.Ed. in adolescence education: social studies programs. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Explain the historical significance of key themes, events, and people relevant to the history of the American Revolution.
  2. Assess the persuasiveness of historians' claims about the past.
  3. Identify the implications of historiographical innovations and debates for narratives about the history of the American Revolution.
