SPM 540 - International Sport Enterprise(S)Focus on the globalization of sport with an emphasis on the organization, governance and management of international sport including the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the FIFA World Cup, professional team sport leagues, golf, tennis and ski racing. A comprehensive investigation of the structural and cultural environments that North American sport organizations, leagues and corporations must consider in conducting business in foreign markets. A major semester-long project includes the development of a bid document for a city/region to host a major international sports event.(3 cr. hr.) Frequency Code Descriptor A = Every semester
