PWR 295 - Introduction to Professional Writing Key concepts in rhetoric related to learning professional genres and analysis of discourse in a variety of career contexts. Practice writing for different venues, publications, or online environments. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.) Frequency code B = offered at least once per year
Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate rhetorical awareness of genre, audience, purpose, and context.
- Structure and focus writing based on feedback and visibility of their work in online environments, publishing, workshops, or other venues inside or outside of the classroom.
- Interpret and use documents to understand a range of professional genres.
