ENG 261 - Introduction to Women in Literature

Study of literary portrayal of women by female and male authors of different periods and nationalities. Prerequisite: CPN 100 or 102. Fulfills: GE 7; LASR. (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code B = offered at least once per year

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Relate the language and structure of a literary text to its content and meaning.
  2. ​Compose well-developed verbal and written responses to literature. 
  3. Demonstrate familiarity with portrayals of women in literature.
