PWR 222 - Tiny Writing

Workshop-based study of short prose genres, with focus on making craft decisions informed by rhetorical theories of style, brevity, and concision. Fulfills: GE 8; LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate rhetorical awareness of genre, audience, purpose, and context.
  2. ​Structure and focus writing based on feedback from peers.
  3. Analyze short prose genres for the writer's craft decisions, including diction, form, and structure.
  4. ​Use rhetorical principles of style, brevity, and concision to compose in several short prose genres.
