A sociological overview of organized crime, including conceptual approaches, theoretical explanations, analysis of activities and structures. Considers links between organized crime and government, challenges in control and countermeasures. Prerequisite: ANT 102 or SOC 100 or 150. Also listed as CRM 325. (3 cr. hr.)
