CHE 300 - Organic Chemistry I Lecture

Introduction to Organic Chemistry. Topics include: structure of organic compounds, stereochemistry and an introduction to the reactions of organic compounds. Prerequisite: CHE 228. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code F = offered in fall

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Draw and interpret the common graphical representations of organic structures.
  2. Determine the relative reactivity of organic molecules using the principles of acidity, periodic properties, atomic hybridization, or resonance.
