SOC 302 - Methods of Social Research II Analysis, interpretation of data including statistical methods: measures of central tendency, dispersion, frequency distributions, measures of association and selected inferential statistics. Both computation of statistics and computer applications for statistics are included. Coordinated laboratory work. Prerequisites: SOC 100 or SOC 150, and SOC 301. Fulfills GE 1; LASR. (3 cr. hr.) Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Describe and analyze different kinds of datasets, including surveys, longitudinal data, and single measures.
- Implement and interpret the results of parametric and non-parametric statistical analyses using statistical software.
