MUS 105 - Basic Musicianship I

Intensive study of basic musical skills, including introductory music theory, sight singing, ear training and keyboard playing as applied to musical theatre scores. Fulfills: LASR (3 cr. hr.)
Frequency code B = offered at least once per year

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1. Label notes correctly in both treble and bass clefs.
2. Label rhythms correctly in 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, and other simple meters.
3. Perform basic sightsinging examples, with basic note patterns and rhythms.
