EXS 380 - Motor Behavior

Course in motor behavior encompassing motor learning and motor control. Emphasis is on the application of principles which affect behavior, learning and performance. Lecture/Lab Hours: Lecture: 50 minutes twice a week; Lab: 2 hours once a week. Fulfills: LASR. (3 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Apply the fundamental principles, theories, models, and stages of the motor learning process.
  2. Evaluate the various factors that effect motor skill acquisition.
  3. Develop suitable instructional strategies and assessment techniques for a variety of real-world instructional scenarios.
  4. Assess the supporting literature or research related to the fundamental principles and theories of motor learning and motor control.
  5. Devise instructional strategies and assessment techniques for persons with motor pathologies.
