BIO 437 - Directed Study

Development of technical skills or preliminary investigation of a biological problem. May be taken twice, with different subtitle, for maximum of two credit hours. Prerequisite: Consent of department. Grading: H, S, U grades are assigned. (1-2 cr. hr.)

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate a proficiency in the methods, techniques and protocols that are used in biological research.
  2. Apply the correct analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate biological research data.
  3. Communicate research methods, results and interpretations to peers and colleagues in the biological sciences.
